The dominant component, and what changes when it has company

Published 24 October 2026 · REVIVE LAB UAE Research Desk · 5 min read
GHK-Cu, the copper tripeptide isolated from human plasma by Loren Pickart, is the largest component of GLOW by mass and the overwhelming majority by molecule. Its own literature is extensive and is covered elsewhere on this site. In a blend, two things change: the copper has new potential binding partners, and no result can be assigned to it.

The literature does not change

Everything established about GHK-Cu — its isolation, its copper coordination through the histidine imidazole and the N-terminal amine, the matrix and dermal work — describes the compound alone. It is not altered by being sold alongside two others, and it is not evidence about the blend.

The GHK-Cu pages on this site remain the reference for the compound itself.

What does change: the copper

In a single-compound vial the copper is held by GHK and competes only with whatever the medium contains. In the blend, two further peptides with acidic residues and backbone nitrogens are present in the same solution. Whether and how much copper redistributes among them is a chemistry question specific to this mixture and is not settled by the single-compound literature.

A copper-matched control is therefore not optional in work with GLOW.

What does change: attribution

With GHK-Cu alone there is one attribution question — peptide or metal. With three compounds there are several, and the vial cannot be unmixed. The catalogue sells GHK-Cu on its own precisely so that a design needing attribution has the material for it.

The GLOW blend is supplied by REVIVE LAB UAE for laboratory research use only, with batch identity by mass spectrometry and purity by HPLC. It is not for human or veterinary use, and no dosing, administration or protocol guidance is provided.
