Why Is Retatrutide Supplied as a Lyophilised Powder?

Published 2026-10-26 · REVIVE Peptides Research Desk · 1 min read
Short answer: Because a peptide in water degrades: peptide bonds hydrolyse, some side chains oxidise, and the molecule can aggregate. Freeze-drying — lyophilisation — removes the water under vacuum and leaves a porous solid in which those reactions are slowed by orders of magnitude. A sealed vial of lyophilised Retatrutide therefore keeps for years at 2–8°C, which a solution would not.

This is also why the pack ships with a separate vial of bacteriostatic water rather than as a ready solution. The water is added by the user of the material at the point of use, and from that moment the stability margin of the dry powder is gone. REVIVE LAB UAE gives no guidance on that step.

Lyophilised peptide also tolerates the hours of a summer delivery far better than a solution would, which is what the insulated carton and the 2–8°C label are protecting.

REVIVE LAB UAE supplies the pack for laboratory research use only. It is not for human or veterinary use, and no dosing, administration or protocol guidance is provided.
