Entering the code returns the batch record it belongs to. That tells you the carton in your hands corresponds to a lot that exists, was produced when it says, and matches the certificate issued for it.
The check is designed to be run before opening. A code that returns nothing, or returns a batch whose details do not match the carton, is a reason to stop rather than to proceed and ask later.
It cannot tell you what is in the vial. A code confirms provenance records; it does not analyse contents, and no printed code on any product from any supplier ever could.
What covers the contents is the certificate of analysis for that lot — identity by mass spectrometry, purity by HPLC. Verification and analysis answer different questions, and a supplier offering one as though it were the other is overselling it.
A code identifies a batch, not an individual carton, so several cartons from one lot carry the same code. That is intended behaviour rather than a fault, and it follows from what the system is for: the certificate it points to describes the batch.
Check the code at revivelab.ae/verify, and read the lot number on the certificate against the one printed on the box.
Entering the code returns the batch record it belongs to. That tells you the carton in your hands corresponds to a lot that exists, was produced when it says, and matches the certificate issued for it.
